2019 Emotional Intelligence Workshop
"Imperfect people make perfect teams" - Kayley Riddle
Exploring the science of emotional intelligence was an intriguing topic to workshop on Thursday 29th August. With over 40 members and guests keen to understand how feelings impact our decision making and behaviour, there were lightbulb moments for many in the room.
A key takeway being the "Thinking Brain" is active for 6 hours a day only, while the "Emotional Brain" operates the remaining 18 hours. A good reason why emotional intelligence is now considered to be more important than decision making, negotiation and service orientation as a job skill!
Hosted at Charles Sturt University (CSU), the 2.5 hour workshop was presented by Kayley Riddle from People Engine. Kayley is an accredited and experienced Genos Emotional Intelligence coach and HBWN's Vice President. Her experience and knowledge as an engaging facilitator provided an interactive, informative and fun session for our members and guests.
